Stupid PUMAs, Stupid Republicans and the Presidential Gift of DVDs
It is kind of heartening to know that the opposition to President Obama is just stuck on stupid.

There was of course the faux outrage about the special olympics, that spread all over the Repug sites, despite the fact that they supposedly hate being PC. Well now they have gone back to whipping boy that was the gift of DVDs to Gordon Brown from President Obama.

Stupid Rethugs claim that Region 1 DVDs will not work in the UK. Well tell that to my player, I just watched Fast Food Nation last night and will be watching Story of Ricky from Japan.

Multi Region DVD players are more common in the UK than than those that are single region players. Almost any player sold as a region 2 player in the store can be adapted by a simple remote hack, searchable online. All do NTSC to PAL conversion. Good TV sets do not need to and have multiple refresh rates to avoid 3:2 pull down.

The UK is not the technological backwater Rethugs think it is.

Stupid Stupid People.
