People through the U.S. claim to be outraged at AIG giving $165 million in bonuses. Obviously, politicians catch on to this and only exuberate the issue to gain popular support. But my question is where was the outrage? Where was this huge outrage in 2001 when Bush approved $1.35 trillion dollar in tax cuts which benefited primarily people such as the recipients of these huge bonuses. In my opinion, if the highest tax bracket would have stayed the way prior to Bush or raised this entire recession would have been avoided. Capitalism is the parasite of democracy and when democracy becomes to lenient on capitalism it will leech off itself into its destruction
