Where did Liberty University students go on Spring Break?
Edited on Tue Mar-31-09 11:22 PM by pstokely
The only place "The Liberty Way" book of rules would probably allow them to go would be Branson

2. Same places everybody else goes. They aren't actually any more pristine than everybody else....
They just lie about it more.

6. And get spied on...
The rules of conduct in their 'student handbook' are nightmarish.

23. Actually, they are probably a little more wild on Spring Break
There is a lot of built up tension among that crowd.

40. A lot of them, no doubt.
Just like how so many preachers' kids turn out to be hellraisers.

3. The boys go
Edited on Tue Mar-31-09 11:01 PM by Tangerine LaBamba
to the Mustang Ranch, because Jesus told them to, and the girls head for Vegas, with their very own poles.

Or else they go to Ava Maria, FL, where they picket Ava Maria University, trying to save their damned Catholic souls. They also throw pizza at the students................

22. Haha, that's funny.
When I first moved to Oklahoma, this woman kept inviting me to her Pentecostal church. Every Tuesday she would come to my apartment and ask me to go to adult fellowship. My husband and I were petrified to tell her that, at that time, we weren't married.
She also joked at one point that we needed to rid ourselves of our Yankee accents. I almost died (and mine was mostly gone, on account of living in CA).

4. WVU's football team gets to play them for our season opener... at home...
That's like sending those good, Gawd-fearin' Christians right straight to hell, isn't it?!

I'm betting the crowd is going to turn it up a little extra, just for the occasion...
I hope so, anyway...

10. WVU is gonna play LIBERTY???????
I bet their pre-game huddle lasts a really long time.

Do they field any kind of team, or are they counting on the Holy Spirit to see them through?

19. The score may be 70-3 at best.. Ouch
Will be a painful game to watch. And I know where one kid at Liberty is going for Spring Break. To Duke. Assuming Curry is looking around his next year school some during the break.

24. Give Jesus Christ the football
let Him even up the score
run it through the crossbars
and be on the Cross no more

I've forgotten the rest of it and a quick google didn't find it.

But anyhoo, that would be the LU "fight" song. :)

Who has the Black Diamond Trophy again? Oh, that's right, we do!

On edit: I really wish they'd work that rivalry back into the schedules. My bf is a Mountaineer and I no longer have any good reason to root for their demise. Well, other than just plain orneriness.

42. That's the best you can do?
Point to a dirt bag who left that we didn't even need to beat you?

Sheesh, I would have thought you'd all lighten up after the come-uppance Rodriguez got last season.

I'd be careful talking trash about the Hokies to me. The Mountaineer Companion receives beatings for making fun of the Fighting Gobblers. He knows why . . .

18. I'm with you let's bash religious belief
Those crazy mormons at BYU, no drinking, let's make fun of them. Jewish people that won't cut a light switch on one day a week, we're superior, let's make fun of them. Silly Muslims that pray to Mecca, ha.

Save your religious bigotry for elsewhere. Clearly you are an "I'm enlightened" liberal that has no clue what tolerance is. DU are we ever going to get rid or at least reduce the percentage of the fraud "I'm enlightened" liberals on this board?

35. Exactly. RW Christians-and especially those at Liberty U- are above reproach.
All extremists should be revered and respected- never poked fun at.

We need to "get rid of or at least reduce" the fraud of those who dare to suggest that right wing fundies are weirdos.

THE NERVE of these liberal hypocrites who make jokes about Jerry Fawell's college!!!

That eats 2 weekends out of our season for no good reason.
Those should be the pre-season scrimmages, at best.

How the hell are we supposed to get a decent ranking when we get saddled with this shit every year?

That'd be Coach (R) and Puke:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=215&topic_id=90610&mesg_id=90610

:puke:

The 'Eers are, however, lending a fig leaf of legitimacy to the Falwell Moonies merely by scheduling them. Why, when there are well over 100 FCS patsies opponents to choose from? Don't tell me they're afraid to play App State!
