The Justice Department will drop the Ted Stevens prosecution.
On NPR about 1/2 hour ago. Holder has decided to pull the plug because of misconduct on the part of government prosecutors...witholding of information from the defense, etc.

1. Really? To busy getting the people in the 40,000 yr. income?
This type stuff gets to me. Poor man does not have a bank of lawyers to fight with so he gets it where as these rich guys walk off with the cake. So be it.

4. Misconduct on purpose......Maybe this was a last-minute Bush administration show.....
..... to give the perception they were going after Repug crooks too, only to have the case mishandled accidentally on purpose.

5. At least we got him before the election
Good thing this did not come up during the election. It could have got him enough sympathy votes
to keep the R in the slot. Worked out well I'd say.

7. Now there's a double standard. It's ok to practice prosecutorial
misconduct on a Republican I guess.
