Israel rushes to India's defense

Israel emerged as India's number one defense partner last week when it was revealed that New Delhi had signed a US$1.4 billion deal with the country to purchase a 70 kilometer shore-based and sea borne anti-missile air defense system.

This is among the bigger defense deals between the two countries and the biggest military joint venture by India with a foreign country, overtaking the India-Russia BrahMos cruise missile project.

4. Israel develops
a ton of it's own weapons. Almost all the missiles they use on the F-16 and Apache are Israeli made. Rafael company makes most if not all of it including the missile defense system in the deal with India there.

5. They should not need so much money and weaponry from us then.
Whatever profit they make selling to other countries can go to purchasing from us instead of us just handing it to them.

6. technically
we provide them with aid money and they buy our weapons. The US primarily sells them aircraft and vehicles and not the actual weapons used with those things. The US provides military assistance funding to many nations who turn around and buy US made weapons. Israel gets the most followed by Egypt.
