Would this be a good idea to do with GM?

1) have the govt. take over the pensions, make it garaunteed and federal. this will reduce their operating costs significantly, and won't cost the pensioners what they have earned over the years.

2) enroll the GM employees in pilot single payer health care program

then when that succeeds, use it as a tool to pitch single payer for the entire country.

What do you guys think?

3. It would be nice but I think it would cost more than real single payer health care.

Mainly, because for it to work right on a small scale it should be regional. GM employees are not all in one location or region. But then again if it is integrated with Medicare using their offices it might work better.
