That was a most insightful interview.

Even Iran's head has proclaimed nuclear to be immoral. We're actually behind the Middle East, in this country.

52. Some might see it that way, but it is what it is
People are drawn to physically attractive people. The deciding factor in a sustainable relationship depends on much more than appearance. I spent 29 years with my ex and the relationship started with hours of conversation and no physical contact. From what I've read of the queen, she's the kind of person that you could form a relationship with regardless of how she looks.

37. The very notion of 'royalty' has been a blight on human history, imho.
Almost nothing is more thematically antithetical to peace and human progress. The cascading inherited wealth has caused immeasurable death and suffering.

I find it truly remarkable how Disney (and other children's fairy tale peddlers) has been so successful in brainwashing us from the time we first learn to talk. "Some day my prince will come" ... a succinct characterization of the secondary value of women, whose self-worth and hopes are entirely dependent on some male. The "PR" is mind-boggling.

40. I liked the king because he was an honest man, not because he was
a king. But that was his title, so I used it. He seemed sensible to me. So does his wife. And his son, and his son's wife. They were/are all smart.

17. Can you say
"the best plastic surgery in the world"?

She started it while still in her twenties. Like Christie Brinkley. Doing tiny little things on a regular basis so nothing dire ever had to be done, and that's why they look the same all the time. Sophia Loren pioneered this concept.

But, note the Botox. Her eyebrows and forehead are immobile. The price you pay for that smoothness.

She's cool, a Princeton grad who did something amazing with her life. My late husband knew her father, the head of Pan Am, the airline, back in their heyday. Nice people whose preppy daughter became a Muslim, married a King, and changed her name........

His name, if I recall correctly, was Najeeb Halaby. She was Lisa Halaby. My husband was CEO of Continental, and, back then, all those guys knew each other. I was an airline lawyer, and it was just before deregulation(!), a really good time.

I know more shit, honey. If you want to know anything totally worthless, check with me first. Chances are I know it, or have dated it, slept with it, or sued it. Or married it.

One of my utterly secret - until now - pleasures is to grab the latest copy of the National Enquirer, the Star, and the Globe, head to my buddy's Chinese restaurant at lunchtime, and sit at a corner table and gorge myself on junk food and great Chinese food. My idea of a simple heaven.

And now I have the rotting mind to show for it .....................

Pay special attention to the final paragraph. You don't ever see the word "unfit" used in a judicial decision unless it's a domestic court taking kids away from an abusive parent.

Frank Lorenzo is filth on earth. I despise him, for very personal reasons.

54. Did anyone like him?
I think everyone despised him. No one in Houston ever asks about him - although quite a few commented at the time on how fitting it was that he bought Candace Mossler's house. It seems to attract scandal. He at least kept most of his to himself. Until the night he was arrested. I will say no more.

55. No. He was universally despised,
and when he was finally tossed, the judge gave him a tongue-lashing like I've never heard even a criminal court judge give a convicted killer.

Lorenzo was a craven outsider who decided that he wanted to be an airline president. He had no experience in the business, and he jumped right into the big hole that deregulation created. What he did to some beautiful carriers - like Frontier and Eastern and Continental, and even New York Air, which would have been a good airline, I honestly believe - was beyond criminal.

When the machinists' union went on strike at Eastern, everyone knew that it would spell the end of the airline, which was sad. But, I'm proud that I was able to give money to support the strikers while they were out, even though I knew they would fail, Eastern would fail.

Lorenzo made a fuck of a lot of money with his shenanigans, but, ultimately - and this brings satisfaction to a lot of us to this very day - he was forever after blacklisted within the airline industry, and that was the only thing he ever wanted.

When he was busted for drunk driving, I was only sorry he hadn't hit a brick wall at 100 mph.

I'm curious - why did you say "I will say no more."?

25. She took the name
"Light of Hussein" when she married the King of Jordan, which I thought was the loveliest, most romantic gesture. She also has - I think - a degree in architecture from Princeton, and, back then, women were just beginning to be admitted to Princeton. She's something, for sure.

I thought of changing my name then to my husband's, but "Light of Alvin" just didn't have the same ring ................
