Apparently, she has "gone and done it".

Octomom Suleman Seeks Reality Show, Says Source
By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Because she’s not overexposed enough, Nadya Suleman, the so-called "Octomom," apparently has her sights set on a reality television show.

An anonymous source tells the tabloid InTouch that Suleman, who gave birth to eight babies earlier this year, hopes to strike a deal and star in a show about raising her 14 children while also looking for love. While no deal’s set yet, MSNBC reports that Suleman is adamant about one thing: "Octomom" appears nowhere in the title, because she hates the nickname and wants to remain respectable, or something.

Though Suleman won’t say whether a show is in the works, she did appear on the magazine’s cover this week with six of her 8 newborns. In that feature, Suleman discusses her war with attorney Gloria Allred and the nursing care group Angels in Waiting, who had offered Suleman help but found themselves fired because Suleman thought they were spying on and smothering her.

Says "Octomom" to the magazine, "I felt ostracized. I felt excluded. I felt as though every time I tried to hold the baby, feed the baby, they were waiting for me to make a mistake.”

For her part, Allred insists Suleman is more interested in fame and fortune than mothering her children.

We think they’re all right — and wrong.

Too bad those little kidlets don't have a say in whether THEY want to be on camera 24-7, and exposed to every germ brought in by the hordes of TV-folks :(

1. Flava Flav already has 14 kids, so that's out.
OK, so it's only 10, but he won't be backing a reality show starring Octomom.

2. 14:45 In Her 15 Minutes
Just like in sports, people like to condemn the player for taking the money, but there's someone offering it. The same applies here. Someone is willing to bankroll this exploitation and is waving enough money to make it worth Octomom's while. I'm not going to hop into the "good mom/bad mom" debate, but it should be pointed out that there are those who see her as a meal ticket and are willing to bankroll this. It's sure to stir a mini PR storm...the think teevee promoters and programmers love...some quick ratings and then the novelty wears off. The children remain, the bills remain, the freak show moves onto its next celebrity or subject. Here's hoping some of the money actually goes to helping those kids...especially after the cameras go elsewhere.

4. Very good points, all.
But really...she wants to "remain" respectable? I think that particular bus left the station a long time ago.

7. The "Jackie Coogan Law" does not apply to "reality shows"
so there is no expectation that the kids will see any of the money made from their exploitation..:(

3. The Enquirer reports, breathlessly, that she was a STRIPPER!!!!!!
(Not sure if they used eclamation points...but it was a headline at the grocery store).

The tee vee told me that someone in a white van threw a baby car seat through her house window and drove off in a hurry. Because the woman is so flaky, I have to wonder if she didn't put someone up to that for the sympathy she hopes it will engender. Yes, I am cynical, and yes, this creepy woman who looks like she's striving to imitate Angelina Jolie makes my skin crawl. I feel sorry for those kids--they're starting out life at a horrible disadvantage with no daddy and mommy's genetic code, even if all else weren't problematic.

You forgot your link, BTW....

11. Ugh. I see cheap porn and "celebrity boxing" in her future.
I hope she loses at both.

15. Wow, didn't see this coming or anything
I'm sure "reality show" was the first thing on the lips of the agent that this woman surely already had by the time these kids were born.

As long as there is rabid, fanatical and utterly pointless interest in celebrity parenting, then babies will continue to be viewed more and more as status symbols by society, and not human beings.

And as long as our entire society's existence continues to be viewed through the prism of reality TV, the problem (along with a disproportionate number of other problems) will be multiplied a million-fold.
