5. Why glorify anger?

Anger is supposed to be a signal, an alarm that something is wrong. Around here, it's like the car alarm that goes off at 1:00 AM and doesn't cut off until daybreak.

When I get mad, I do something about it, like pester my elected officials. And I didn't vote because I was mad, but because I wanted to NOT be mad.

DU is turning into an incubator for outrage junkies.

6. I think we have a mis-communication going on here...

I was mad in the Bush years and got out there and campaigned for our guy - and, although we have a long way to go I feel we are on the right track

I've also been rather worried about the trend at DU toward instant, fulminating outrage. People don't even usually read the full news article before they blow up. And the whole Octomom firestorm was just ... icky.

There's too much pent-up frustration. The cure for that is action. (And more cowbell.)

It's only been about 75 days with Mr. Obama. The era is still young, and there's plenty of work to do. Fortunately, I have a long-distance plan where I can call my senators and representative (Casey, Specter, and Murphy) without any extra charge. :)
