What is HuffPost's Problem?
For the last few weeks I've noticed a negative slant to their top tier story lines. Right now their leads are about Michelle touching the Queen, was the gift appropriate, etc. I used to enjoy HuffPo a great deal and never miss Jason on Sundays. Maybe it's me....

1. The current talking point-everybody is doing it, except the
British press, who actually know better. I think the US media as a whole is just flipping lazy. Or, for some reason they think this story 'sells' better. It doesn't for me.

3. I'm old enough to remember the Queen as a young girl and like many
my age, she's sort of part of the family...LOL. My grandmother was born in England, raised in Ireland. Anyway, the Queen is well aware of the sad history of this country in their treatment of African Americas. I honestly think when she thinks back to the way things were here not that many years ago, and how these two have surpassed all of the obstacles set before them, she has a special admiration for them. The Queen is no weak fragile flower and does not suffer fools. I think she has a fondness especially for Michelle knowing the enormous tasks she's handling and doing it so well. Just my opine. I'll quit now....LOL.

6. It's got the heart of a tabloid
The editorials are fine, but it's mainly a paparazzi rag about rich people, a watered-down version of The Nation plus People.

I think this is largely due to Arianna's split public personality -- fabulous socialite and learned pundit. The two mix like olive oil and acrylic paint.

9. HuffPo's recent dismissal of peak oil
The columnist was so "authoritative" on the subject he referred to Matt Simmons as "James" Simmons.

Homework, much? Sheesh.
