My dearly departed dad had a saying that I think really fits Glen Beck...
Of course it was always aimed at my cast of rather dubious friends as you can see from my sig line, but it really does seem to fit old blubbering Beck...

My daddy would say...

He thinks he's King Shit on Turd Island but he's just a little turd on a paper plate...

5. Glenn Beck
First, let me make this clear, I am a recovering alcoholic with 23 years sober.
I am just a drunk trying to stay sober. Nothing more or less.
But I know the likes of Glenn Beck.
We are all the same
In the first few years we think because we found sobriety we know everything and have conquered the world.
We lecture to everyone.
Nothing is more annoying than an early sober drunk.
Next, because we loved alcohol and no longer can drink it, we wish to depress everyone else because we have lost our number one love (alcohol).
Thus, Becks rants on the world ending, blah....blah....blah.
"Since I can't have fun, why should everyone else be happy. My love (alcohol) is gone, my life sucks, so should yours".

Beck will do one of two things:
1. Fall off the wagon and go on a major bender and end up with a DUI and/or run down the street of his posh neighborhood naked and make a more ass of himself then he already is.

2. Finally figure out that that he is just another drunk trying to stay sober and doesn't know shit.

I would 'bet the farm' that he has a bottle hidden somewhere.
Try the toilet tank, that was my first choice.
In the meantime, he rakes in millions on his clown act.
Time will tell.
But in the end, it all comes down to John Barleycorn or not.
The 'Big Book' of AA tells all.
I really do not think Beck has even opened that book for a second.

Regards

:hi:

I didn't know about Beck's alcoholic past, so I did a little research:

He went straight from high school to full-time radio work, and by his mid-20s he was a successful radio DJ. With his early success, though, Beck became an alcoholic and daily drug user. His first marriage ended in divorce, and then he kicked his addictions with help from Alcoholics Anonymous. Now clean and sober for years, Beck says he still suffers back pain from an injury incurred when, intoxicated or high, he tumbled through a window.
