is there a dem website for me?

Am a nonunion business owner with 70 employees (most have worked for me for 20 plus years) with terrific benefits, have a permit for a concealed weapon, will get tax increase under Obama but good with it, am for universal health care...but don't feel like there's a place for me on du despite being here from the get go... Are there any business owners here who make over $250k a year on here who want to help people? Am tired of feeling tramped on.

Because most people here don't make even close to $250,000? That's pretty true for the whole country. I used to own a 'business' but I did not even gross $25,000 a year in sales.

husband has terrible disease but like above am criticized for making dough yet I pay employees $45 an hour...am such a bad person. Sorry...just feeling beat up. There used to be a lot of entrepreneurs in the old days but I don't see them anymore and gawd forbid anyone being a success in this economic climate despite trying to help people?

to earn a good living and receive good benefits, I'd find it difficult to fault you. As to the entrpreneurial spirit, I do believe it's very difficult for people to get a leg up these days -- maybe that's why you're seeing less of it.

All I said was that most people don't make nearly that much money. Which part of that is criticism? Who said anything about bad people or bad places? BTW, I was in 'business' for something like 8 years. I put business in quotes, since I never really made my first dollar in net profit.

This doesn't seem to be a dem website anymore. There must be something else out there, but if not, I know I can find better things to do with my time besides come here and get disgusted and depressed. I've been here since '04, and the Primaries were NOTHING compared to this.

If you do find a website, you should post it on here - I think a lot of people are looking for one.

20. well Dem-bashing has long been in vogue

First, because all Dems enabled the Bush administration dontcha know. Many times I felt the need to point out that a majority of House Democrats, thanks to the leadership of Kucinich, voted AGAINST the Iraq war, and that the 2003 Bush tax cuts passed the Senate 51-50, without a SINGLE Democratic vote.

Then Democrats won Congress in 2006, and Reid and Pelosi challenged Bush and Cheney for the title of "most hated by DU". I felt the need to write this in 2007

But Skinner has often repeated the advice, if you want to enjoy DU more, get out of GD and GDP. Visit the subject forums and the state forums, and maybe LBN (although I don't have much use for LBN myself).

believe me.. it would be so nice to take those profits for myself...have paid for rehab for any employee with substance abuse including gambling rehab for bookeeper (now is that scary or what?)

What am getting to is that business people are not evil...at least have felt that we are portrayed that way.
