How could you live in Africa and not respect and admire Barack Obama? The Europeans seem to appreciate his leadership moreso than Americans? He is the symbol of a changing world. It is sad that the international banking system has crapped in the kool-aid.
Like many others here, I have been critical of the new President's bailout of the big banks. I question whether we will be better off or worse off with his decision to bail out the banks. However, I cannot question but that he is good for our nation and good for the world at this time. He speaks to a new generation. The Baby Boom generation is grudgingly surrendering power to the new leaders of the world. And Barack Obama is the leader of this "new world". Some may say it is a "new world order"?
Nonetheless, we can only speak our mind. Five years from now, we will have enough hindsight to congratulate the new leader of the free world or simply to say, "we told you so". But I honestly doubt that there is anyone else that could do a better job. We can continue to speak out but we must also continue to support our new President in the overall good he can do for the world.
