This Democrat

I am pro choice. I am pro worker and organized labor. I know I must pay taxes to build roads, schools, etc. I believe the simple idea of you make more you pay more. I'm strong on GLBT issues. I love the outdoors and want to preserve it for future generations. Health care for all like all other industrial nations already have. Secure retirement. Animal rights. Well you get the idea.

Sometimes on the DU we forget the simple things. We fight a wrong battle. We disagree on how to promote the common good. After reading another post here this morning, I just want to remind everyone we are all different individuals with different views. A few of us need to show others with different views some common courtesy.

The DU is my major time consuming hobby. I take pride in promoting it. I'd be lost without it. Take good care of it.

1. One would think those would be the goals and desires of all Democrats, but

When we see our Democratic Representatives hand out billions to bankers and Insurance elite without so much as a business plan offered or demanded and then when the Auto makers ask for some assistance they are run through the wringer and demands are being made that auto workers (the common laborers) are being asked to make concessions on their contract which was negotiated in good faith and yet zero demands on the bankers and their bonuses and huge parties and lavish office refurbishing.. There is a disconnect somewhere....When the Only Health Care Plan is through Insurance Giants that do not deserve a cut on our Health Care costs. They sit back with no medical degrees and tell us what procedures or ailments they will approve treatment for. It is hard to find a lot of support for those type Democrats IMO.
