The news reports on the shooting in NY...

I just read one that reported how many hostages were inside, and where they were. Should they be reporting the location of people inside who may be hiding? Isn't there a risk the gunman could use that information?

This could be seriously damaging if we were dealing with a siege-style attack like has been used in India and Pakistan, with possibly multiple gunmen, and outsiders feeding info through cell phones.

The media needs to learn restraint.

But, giving facts of where people may be hiding during a still occurring event is just very poor judgment, and could easily make things worse.

5. The building is a place where immigrants go for food

and civics lessons as well as to become citizens. Seems more like an attack of immigrants to me but we'll soon find out.
