MI Gov. Granholm writes to VP Biden

"While some governors have said they don't want federal recovery act cash, Gov. Jennifer Granholm is trying to grab every last penny she can get for Michigan.

She has said repeatedly that Michigan will take the money other states reject, and now she has made a formal request to Vice President Joe Biden.

"When you consider reallocating the money that has been turned down, Michigan would like to be first in line," the governor said in a letter to Biden sent Thursday. "In these most difficult economic times, the recovery act is exactly what our state needs to protect our citizens and help get them working again."

While I feel bad for the citizens who are losing out because their governors are playing political games, I'm glad Granholm is making sure our state is first in line for left over stimulus money. Hopefully refusing stimulus money backfires on these GOP governors.
