An old song for a new Depression
What caused this Depression ?

Alan Greenspan held interest rates artificially low - while Bush promoted deregulation. Wall street saw these two crimes as an opportunity to bundle mortgages and sell derivatives on them.

Back in the Old Depression, they use to sing this song --

"Mellon pulled the whistle Hoover rang the bell, Wall Street gave the
signal, And the country went to hell."

A more fitting song for the New Depression is:

"Greenspan pulled the whistle Bush rang the bell, AIG sold the
derivatives, and the country went to hell".

At least it identifies the Big Three in villainy.
