Aide accused of sending racy photos to student

VINELAND, N.J. - A teacher's aide at a southern New Jersey middle school faces charges for allegedly sending nude and suggestive photos to a 14-year-old student.

Cumberland County authorities say 23-year-old Lauren Breslin sent the pictures to the male student's cell phone. Police tell the Gloucester County Times that the boy said Breslin had kissed him multiple times and had called him after school hours.

Breslin, of Vineland, was taken into custody Friday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and was being held on $25,000 bail. She has been suspended from her job at Veterans Memorial Middle School without pay.

WTF is it with these teachers? Putting the moves of a 14 year old? Let's put aside the obvious...think you're not going to get caught? That the student's gonna keep it a secret? That a self-destructive urge like this shouldn't be quelled before the entire MSM comes down on you?

What I can't get over is that these are all women! If they were male teachers pulling this shit, the villagers would be out with flaming torches and - ah, yes - pitchforks. As it is, it's just bizarre.

What is WRONG with these women? And this one sends PICTURES? To his CELL PHONE????

7. I had a flirtation with my Economics teacher

senior year, but we never did anything about it until after I graduated, and he never even kissed me until my eighteenth birthday. He was twice my age - no fool he.

A couple of weeks later, I was off to college, and all new worlds to conquer. The poor guy never married, and I've always felt just a teeny bit guilty about that.................

5. I think we only just hear about it more these days

what with electonic evidence and all.
when I was a kid in the sixties, there were teachers making passes at students, you just didn't hear about it in the general public as often. It was hushed up, pretty much. I knew of of one male teacher with girls and one female teacher with boys, and one male teacher with boys. But you gotta realize that back then, it was all rumors, no one had any proof, and the pressure was to not talk about it.
The one male teacher with boys was quietly fired from the parochial school and immediately hired in the private school in the same town. But the rumors traveled with him and pretty much most boys knew not to be alone with him.

What's different is there is a definite gender disparity with how these cases are viewed -- if its a female teacher with a young boy, then hallejuah! sounds like fun!, if its a male teacher with a female student, then that's a dirty pedophile. If its a same gender teacher with a same gender child, then lets burn them at the stake.

I never understood the disparity. In all cases, the adult is unfairly manipulating the child by using their position of relative authority.
