With or without UN approval? As an example, if President Clinton wanted to go into Rwanda, but France threatened a veto, what would your view have been?

12. I didn't type that. However, you'd think the "pro-birthers" and right wing Catholics would
be LIVID about China's oppression of people including forced Abortions? Instead they love their WalMart and buying all that cheap Chinese Shit made by ultra-poor people living from hand to mouth.

"I've got mine - fuck everyone else." That should be the new capitalists motto.

The ONLY time we intercede as a country is for our FINANCIAL well being. Even Kosovo - gave "a kick" to the Military Industrial Complex. After all, those bombs made won't blow themselves up.

WE THRIVE ON WAR because we manufacture more weapons of death and destruction than any other Nation.

Therefore, I find it more than a little hypocritical that anyone who's American can talk about "humanitarian aid" when we all KNOW that our nation acts only for our best national self interest.

2. Frankly, I'm tired of the U.S. being a policeman for the world.
We have enough of our own issues and budget problems without trying to police the Earth.

8. So is everyone else because while claiming to be "policemen"
somehow the US seems to wind up strip mining whoever they are "saving" at the moment.

6. The question to be answered first is whether intervention will help or hurt
the situation.

Why aren't we pressuring the Saudis and the Chinese big time over Sudan? (Oh, wait, I'm afraid i know the answer to that question.)

7. Ironically, Clinton and Albright undermined a relief mission to Rwanda.
In answer to your question, America should heed the UN before sending military forces anywhere.
