1. But why primarily in spring?
I understand suicides at Christmas and New Year's, because people look back over the previous year and realize what utter failures they are. And I understand college kids plunging off hotel balconies to their deaths during spring break, because college kids are stupid freaking jerks. But why would murders of total strangers or family members suddenly occur in spring?

Hell, it even makes sense that people would kill because they lost their jobs, and I expect to see two or three mass killings PER DAY because of that. But why specifically at a time when flowers are growing and love (for those who have a chance at it, not my category) is supposedly in bloom?

Any facts? Ideas? Speculations?

2. I don't know, but what you've got me curious about now
is, why do you think you have no chance at love?

3. School violence peaks on April 20th
Hitler's birthday
Columbine shooting was on this date in 1999 as well.

I remember threats of violence goin back to the early 90's on this date.

5. Mud season!
least in these parts...

other possible factors "Beware the Ides of March!" Seems like when i
ve been dogbit and doorslammed in the workplace, it happens around this time of year.

TS Eliot said "April is the cruelest month"

I had a couple insightful physical therapists thell me: "Its the third day of rain that gets ya!" Seems their paitents pain complaints spike significantly on the third day of rainy, gloomy weather.

6. There's something about the change in seasons....

Just like some people take their life just when things are beginning to look up and change for the better. Haven't you heard something like that before? Something about some of the weight of the world being lifted gives you just enough energy to do something destructive.
