1. After Oklahoma City, Clinton told RW hate to cool down. They impeached him.
They won't listen. I hope people recognize that the right wing is on the wrong path, the path that should remind people of the Cain and Abel story.

They have been warned about where their hate is leading. The bush presidency was a failure that was rejected by America just as Cain's "sacrifice" was rejected by God. Do you see where they're heading? During bush, they quite nearly destroyed America. bush even told the truth when he said that America's enemies never stop trying to find ways to destroy America and neither do we.

The good news for Democrats? We won't be participating in the bush-dream of Armageddon. The bad news? We'll be too busy with our own civil war? Let's hope not.

3. I feel bad for Cain. I mean, he worked as hard for his sacrifice as Abel did.

Harder, maybe; farming is back-breaking work. And then to have God say, 'eh, veggies aren't really my thing, go tend some sheep instead?' That's cold, God. Real cold.

7. But that's the problem.
Cain probably worked much harder than Abel, but his toil was dedicated to extracting food from the land in an unnatural/ contrived manner.

2. From what I have heard on Pittsburgh TV
the guy shouldn't have legally been able to purchase a gun. He had a troubled history since he was a teenager and had been charged with domestic violence and threatening someones life in the past.

5. Self-fullfilling prophacy...
Problem is that Congress will just straighten gun control laws. But it will not be UK-like total ban on guns. (except for hunters and sport shooters)

6. Here's a taste of what they're thinking......
They are looking at it as "bad press". Oh, yeah, they blame Obama for it.
I think part of the blame lies square at the feet of the N.R.A. To add money to their coffers, they work the sheep into a frenzy every election, promising that the evil Democrats are coming for them. Well, this guy today, did what the N.R.A. should have seen coming.
Here's a link to see how some of them are reacting to it.

8. Welcome to DU ...

... I'm not asking what will eventually happen; I'm trying to find out how people will initially react to this.

Will it be used as a way to begin rational conversations about important subjects or will it be an excuse to spin the incident in such a way as to confirm one's previously held bias?
