Who would you blame for this?
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 03:29 AM by cherokeeprogressive
Today I drove my Daughter home after she, the Ms. and I spent the night at my Sister's house in Oceanside, CA. My Daughter is 17, recently out, and had spent the last five days with us up on the Mountain in Big Bear Lake.

We spent the night with my Sister last night because my Sister's live-in Boyfriend, a childhood friend of ours named Richard, died March 22 of colon cancer cum liver cancer. She and my nephew Austin needed some company, and some help with other things. That's a whole 'nother story though. I posted about some of it a couple Fridays ago and got some wonderful responses from my DU Friends in return. I was blessed to get to spend some time with Richard alone on the morning of his Last Day, and asked him to make sure he got a Tee Time for us on the day I was lucky enough to join him on the Other Side, wherever the heck that is. He was too sick to respond even to my presence in his hospital room, but I know in my heart that he heard me. I digress.

After getting off of the 5 Freeway at Rosecrans this afternoon, we traveled west, toward Bellflower. In fact, our destination was less than five minutes walking distance from the Kaiser hospital where Octomom's brood was delivered. At the stoplight located at the intersection of Rosecrans and, oddly enough, Norwalk Boulevard, I looked to my left and saw this sign:

Understanding that this might be an honest mistake of some kind (WTF?), I'd submit that as the school's lead adminstrator, I, the Principal, would know what the sign said every single day, and would have put my own eyes on it.

Why is our Kid's ain't learnin'? Didn't a TEACHER see it on his/her way home on Friday? Janitors work on Saturdays too. There's ALWAYS someone on call.

1. The PTSA "foudners" are too busy telling the teachers to teach to the test.
And the administrators are telling the janitors, who didn't graduate from high school, to put the information up on the sign!!

Who knows? Maybe they'll learn something in "sciencecamp!"
