5. Don't know.
I only posted this because I thought I was doing a great job keeping track on the Truthiness Encyclopedia's NRA page (http://www.wikiality.com/NRA#NRA_Tour ), but after seeing this, I'm overwhelmed by all the slaughter.

9. Yes it is.
I hesitate to guess what it could mean, but I fear that it's related to finances.

So very, very sad.

6. A lot of desperate and unstable people out there.
A bad economy anger, and alienation will bring out the worst in people. It's a shame that mental health services are such a low priority in this country. Most insurance plans give it minimal coverage and the public systems are continually being cut. We need solutions to the hopelessness driving people to act out violently.

7. Eleven die in Alabama shootings
Police are investigating why a gunman killed 10 people in a series of shootings in the southern US state of Alabama before killing himself.

The gunman burned down his own house, before firing on homes, shops and vehicles in the towns of Samson and Geneva near the Florida border.

Several of the victims are believed to have been members of the gunman's extended family.

The wife and daughter of a local police officer were also killed.

The gunman was named by local officials as Michael McLendon, 28, who had recently left his job at a local sausage factory.

14. Typically, there are 15000 - 17000 deaths by homocide per year in the US.

Everyone of them matters, not just the multiple killings.

15. Good point.
I just pointed this out because I can't remember when so many multiple killings happened in such a short time.
