Text size on DU pages -
Is it just me, or is anyone else having an issue with enlarged fonts on most of DU pages?

I assumed it was my system and/or my browser (Firefox), but I'm on my desktop now, after using my laptop for the past few days, and the text is BIG on this system too, and only on DU pages.

Anyone know what's up?

1. Go into any forum

Look in the top left hand corner under the site logo. If you see a link that says "Switch to normal fonts", click it - that should fix your problem. If the link says "Switch to large fonts" then it's a different problem.

2. My dear EarlG!
My God, man, do you ever sleep?

It's great to have your help, but you sure keep long hours...

Hey, while I have your attention, when are we getting version 3.0?

I'm looking forward to getting it!

:hi:

5. Wow. Large fonts is like an acid trip back in time to 600 x 800 diplay days.
My hot system then: a 486-32, 125 MB hard disk, 8 megs of RAM, baby.

I did have a nice 21" color NEC monitor, though.

:hi:

9. Closer to $10,000.
That huge color monitor cost a chunk of change, the new 486 chip was a week old and the 32-bit architecture was cutting edge.

I have the receipt somewhere, this was in like 1988.

10. Hard to believe how far computers have come
WOW. As jaw dropping as those first computers were back then, I could never get by today without my laptop. Thank goodness for the laptop.

6. If that doesn't work, try...
control-minus to decrease the font size in firefox.

15. That's a new feature on firefox,
isn't it? I hadn't tried it until now. I'm figuring out that the issues I'm having are pretty much all firefox related. My daughter told me that scrolling left/right (along with, I'm not sure what key) will also change the font size.

I appreciate the info. Thanks!

12. Thanks for your speedy response.
And I mean, it was really quick. I read it and then my kids walked in from the beach and various other places, all hungry and tired. Two (my daughter and her boyfriend) just arrived here from Utah. So I did what was expected by all. A hot meal and full time attention to each, until now, when I'm having a moment alone to respond myself.

During the evening, however, I was told by one of my children that the zoom happens by accident, from scrolling side to side with the latest version of Firefox. And that makes sense, since I don't stay very long on any other sites - at least not long enough to accidentally scroll left or right, it would seem.

So thanks for the response. It does appear to be a Firefox problem, though.

13. Hmm, I don't see either of those links you mention...
But that's OK. I'm used to reading it this way.

14. You need to actually click on the forum name,
where the subject titles are written, to see the links. You can't see them if you're already reading a subject.
