Crash: The Next Great Depression? The Hitler... er... History Channel FINALLY Gets It Right
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 11:35 PM by KittyWampus
They did a show on Madoff and that led into "Crash" which was pretty good.

It highlighted de-Regulation and showed Reagan-Clinton-Bush-Greenspan-Gramm and how they all helped it along.

It compared/contrasted 29 with 08.

Not the greatest depth BUT-

Several times a commentator mentioned that Wall Street needs to change.

And at the end of the show, it even DARED say that American dominance might be at an end.

DU'ers probably have deeper command of issues and not learn learn a lot from the show. But it was pretty good as a beginner for family members.

I'd recommend it for friends and family who might be interested.

It was nice to see something relevant on the History Channel again.

2. The History Channel has been showing such total trash of late, it makes me skeptical...
of most of what they show. I don't think they put a lot into vetting their content.

3. Agreed, which is why I was pleasantly surprised with this. I'd given up on the History Channel
and just happened to be dialing past it.

4. I saw most of it and most of the show about Madoff's ponzi scheme on before it.
They were very well done. I was hoping they would rebroadcst them today so I could tape them. However, it looks like today will be devoted to whether angels are good or evil.

5. Monday morning: My Tv Guide isn't giving me data. What was the name of it?
They may do a repeat this week, and I'd like to see it.

Channel website. Apparently it's from a couple of months ago.

You might find it posted on the internet?

It isn't worth buying for the $25 the History Channel wants for it, though.
