Sure, why not. It's not like we can't afford to waste more resources or more wars....

What happened to the sanity of the American people? If all you make are weapons, then every problem looks like a target....

18. Right and how is that working out for us at the moment, what with two wars going on?
That is the most inaccurate statement ever, at least as bad as trickle down economics is good for America..or Democrats are going to destroy America...

I have a friend who couldn't sleep all night
because he was afraid the North Koreans are going to attack us. He considers Obama a wimp because he didn't launch a counter attack. I told him the thing fizzled out and dropped in the sea. His response was "wait til the next one". You really can't help these folks. They believe what they want to believe

3. i'd love to know how they phrased their poll question...
and the make-up of their polling group.

i cannot believe, especially after the folly in iraq, that a majority of americans would favour an unprovoked attack on north korea.

5. Didn't we already go to war with N. Korea in the 50s?
And what did that get us except for many American dead soldiers? Why are there so many war crazy Americans? Guess they saw too many John Wayne war movies.

15. Arrogant, ignorant fucks that live deep inside a vast empire that has no chance of being invaded
Edited on Mon Apr-06-09 09:46 AM by tjwash
This is what happens when you have a huge population of people, that live right in the middle of a vast, far stretching empire, that has no chance of invasion on it's own shores. I swear, sometimes I wish the U.S. would suffer real invasion on our shores, just once. Just once, maybe some tanks from China could roll right down the middle of downtown dum-fukistan, level everything in their paths, kill and main a hundred thousand or so, reduce a few walmarts and starbucks to piles of smoking rubble, and give these dipshits a taste of what we have been dishing out to the rest of the world since the 50's. :banghead:

I'm sure the people living within mortar range of the border in South Korea (including the entire city of Seoul, which by itself contains 10 million people (24.5 million if you include suburbs), are very happy that we have such broad thinking, and wise people, like these poll respondents living in this country.

Theoretically, in the long term, North Korea would likely lose any replay of the Korean War. Not only is their military technologically inferior in just about every way to what the US and South Korea have but, considering the change in China from hardcore ideology first Communists, to "hey guys, we can make a hell of a lot of money from trading with South Korea," that it's very unlikely the Chinese would have their backs this time around. That being said the border of N-S Korea is literally lined on the northern side with thousands, if not millions, of guns, and it's only 70 km from downtown Seoul. Most likely, in the very short term, the result of any actual war would be the leveling of everything within range.

Attacking North Korea means sacrificing Seoul, Seoul would be destroyed, millions would be killed and displaced, and the economies of all of Asia would be utterly devastated for generations. Thankfully, the South Koreans obviously aren't willing to do that.

Ahh screw it, I don't want to think about it anymore...just nuke 'em all and let god sort 'em out :eyes:

Americans fucking suck.
