Bachmann warns gov't creating 're-education camps'
@ 1:04 pm by Michael O'Brien

The government is at risk of creating "re-education camps for young people," Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).

"I believe that there is a very strong chance that we will see that young people will be put into mandatory service," Bachmann said on a Minnesota radio show Monday. "And the real concerns is that there are provisions for what I would call re-education camps for young people, where young people have to go and get trained in a philosophy that the government puts forward and then they have to go to work in some of these politically correct forums."

Bachmann was talking about the Serve America Act, passed recently in Congress as a way to encourage community service for young Americans.

"It’s under the guise of — quote — volunteerism," she said. "But it’s not volunteers at all. It’s paying people to do work on behalf of government."

Bachmann has been anything but quiet during this term in Congress, with her outspoken remarks often drawing the ire of liberal bloggers.

1. If Bachman is against, it is probably a good thing.
She is one stupid, bigoted paranoid person. I don't understand how she got re-elected.

3. I'd like to know the ratio of righties who actually believe their BS vs those who merely wield it
Talk about right-wing projection!

Did she speak out against Halliburton receiving that 3 million dollar contract to build 'emergency' detainment camps a few yrs back?

4. Love to see Bachmann and Monica Conyers stuck in an elevator for about two days or so
Together, of course.

I'd pay to see that!

5. I've heard
that you can instantly be promoted to comrade-general at these camps,
if you duct tape bachmann's mouth and put her in a t-shirt that has a
likeness of Che on it. Picture required of course.

7. It's really past time for the white-coat guys and the butterfly net for this lady.
I'm not sure why she's not being hauled in for a psych eval or a CAT scan.
