The View shows its feminist chops by hosting fashion pimping for Rhiana's "cute" BF Chris BROWN

(I had to Google to get the name of the boyfriend, and I don't know who Rhiana is beyond the face-battering picture.)


It was just jaw dropping. There was the wingnut Elisabeth hosting a segment on teenybopper fashions. The theme was sort of, these are "decent" clothes, not too much skin, just *very* "with it" (do they use these words anymore?

So the guest was this fashion pimp who kept harping on the "cuteness" angle. And it was ALL celebrity driven, like, "Molly CYRUS wouldn't be caught DEAD without these leggings!1"


So then the featured item was something inspired by Rhiana, and the woman ACTUALLY said (paraphrasing), "She is just SO adorable AND she has Chris BROWN as a boyfriend and you KNOW how CUTE *he* is!1"


I had not actually been watching, being on the computer. But when THAT filtered through, I was thunderstruck!1 How could a sane person, not to mention *woman* be on a show for women and hold out a BATTERER as "cute"?! His "cuteness" quotient being far more important than his battering habits?!1

And I didn't even know, just heard it on the news, that the BATTERER is actually due in court TODAY!1 Timely, very timely.

THE VIEW is a pimpmobile for ABC products, be they DISNEY, Dancing With The Stars, and other franchises under the ABC umbrella.

If they're pimping it, ABC owns a piece of it.

2) One of the supposed role models they were featuring was recently battered by a boyfriend.

3) The batterer was WHOLLY APPROVINGLY presented as desirable.

4) Therefore, since it is probably the mothers of the young girls who are watching, the mothers are being funneled towards acceptance of the ... Oh, never mind.



I prefer the previous poster's suggestion that perhaps this was a re-run, from before the battering was known.
