Pgh shooter is old news already on MSM
Looks like no one wants to go to the gun issue. No one has mentioned all day about the hate tv/radio and possible inciting of violence. Same ole same ole.

Ignore it and it will go away.

1. Which one is the Pgh shooter again?
Is that some sort of abbreviation for Pitt? Or is it meant to be Poughkeepsie?

13. New York. The state. NYC is New York City.

Please don't try and play me for an idiot.

I have never heard of Pgh. I bet there people (and not just seniors) in Pittsburgh never have as well.

17. Pitt is the school in Oakland. Pgh is the city. I wouldn't expect people
who weren't from there to know that, however.

18. I find an Oakland in northeast Pa, population 601
and know of one in California with a really evil football team, but google tells me Oakland is Pittsburgh's downtown. Stiil, why wouldn't one be UPitt and the other Pitt? Especially in speech where peegeeH is three syllables and Pitt and UPitt only 1 and 2?

Also, why not Pbh?

Of course, I am the guy who thinks it should be yr instead of ur for shorthand for 'your'. The second one reminds me too much of Stephen R. Donaldson.

But honestly, do you commonly tell people from other states that you live near PSP. And they get it?

4. There's a good post at Daily Kos
There's a good post over at Daily Kos about how the Pittsburgh shooting is being reported. Or not reported. The post recounts some of the facts that have been published and aired, particularly the shooter's friend who talks about how the shooter was concerned about the Zionist takeover of the government and the imminent confiscation of all privately-held firearms. What the post at Kos wonders is why none of the reporters are inquiring about where the shooter got this information. Do they know this is pretty standard stuff from Fox, and everyone knows it? Or are they, more likely, just pretending not to notice where the shooter might have formed these ideas, and what popular media outlets are stoking these fears?

Guns the popular media can understand. And they know that the NRA will defuse that as an issue or an avenue for any suggested reforms or remedies. Crazy is okay, too. If the Pittsburgh shooter is nuts, they can all shake their heads ruefully and bemoan the sad state of affairs. But dealing with the stated causes: Government takeover and confiscation of firearms? Well, that would require some critical examination of Fox, and the Club doesn't like to diss one of its own. So, they'll shelve this guy in one of two or three convenient pigeonholes, pretend that the media doesn't have any role whatsoever, and wait for the next bleed to publish tomorrow's lede.

24. Yes, never been mentioned yet
Not by anyone I've seen other than the pitt-gazette newspaper. Saw even a Pitt tv station try to blame it on his being unemployed. Far as I can see no one has even addressed his history of violence and being a general loony. The only people they allow on the air that know him are the ones claiming he's normal and they can't figure out why he did this when there are people that have reported his violent history and that they weren't surprised at all that he did it.

That's why the GOP-controlled media are ignoring it.

Only this one is being both distored and now ignored. No one has mentioned him being a neo-Nazi avid listener of right wing angry propagandists.
