Palin spokeswoman attacks Levi Johnston's 'lies'
Posted: 04:06 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

(CNN) — A Palin family spokeswoman Monday is continuing to push back against recent claims from Levi Johnston, saying the former fiancé of Bristol Palin told an outright "lie" when he said the two were allowed to live together.

"Levi has never lived under the same roof as Bristol or any of the Palins," Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton told CNN.

In an interview that aired in full Monday on the Tyra Banks Show, Johnston said he moved in to the Palin household shortly before the birth of son Tripp last December.

"I just wanted to be there for her when she had the baby," Johnston said, adding the two were allowed to share a room.

"Do you really think the governor and Todd would have allowed that," Stapleton said in an e-mail.

1. I dunno
The traveling side show attraction would've done so if they thought it would make them look good.

her granddaughter would never have been born.

6. Yep. Bristol didn't even live with them before she got preggo--I remember
reading that she lived with an aunt, then stopped going to school because of "mono". They're such awesome parents.

10. Love those conservative values
Years ago a friends daughter got pregnant. They didn't get all huffy and puffy, they got together with the fathers parents and got the kids married as soon as possible, helped them set up housekeeping, became loving and caring grandparents and today the baby is 12 years old and Mom and Dad are happily together. Not one fundamentalist zealot involved in the whole danged process.

14. That is why everything worked out calmly. Everyone stayed mature and rational.
Religious people can be rational and mature, but those in the vein of Palin are anything but.

8. The classy thing to do is to let it die out, as these things do.
Instead, the governor and her husband continue to toss their child and new grandchild into the glare of the public spotlight, in order to "prove a point." Shame on them.

I don't think the kid's lying.

9. How come ..............
"the Governor" is using her official office and spokesperson to address what she has already characterized as a "personal" matter?

Shouldn't "the Governor" be responding to this issue herself instead of unethically, and possibly illegally, utilizing the trappings of her office, the stuff paid for by the taxpayers, the citizens?

Or ::::: gasp :::::::

Could it be?

Oh, no, say it isn't so!

Is ......... oh, man ...............

is "the Governor" a weasel weenie?

17. Oooh! Not a weasel weenie!
I was going to suggest she couldn't find her way out of a paper bag, but "weasel weenie" sounds SO much better.

I wonder when it's finally going to dawn on the empty-headed twit that the best thing to do was to NOT RESPOND. Then again, the former mayor of our hometown must be a member of Sarah Palin's family; she had the same personality flaws. Of course, it was always all about her, too.

:woohoo:

Every time Sarah Palin uses her spokesperson to respond to the comments of a teenage boy, she makes herself more of an idiot.

11. the governor/her spokesperson responding to a 17 year old over and over
is really pathetic. I feel sorry for Bristol and Levi. Between this statement and the one that claims Bristol is "promoting abstinence", even though she had seemed to say to Greta that it wasn't realistic, the Palin camp seems to be in "damage control mode". If she wants it to go away, she needs to stop responding. It seems like she's just concerned about whether it will affect her politically at this point.

12. Are they denying something Levi didn't say?
My understanding of Levi's comments is that he didn't say that he and Bristol lived together, but that he spent the night with her on more than one occasion, including at Gov. Palin's house with the govenor's knowledge and consent, if not approval. Spending the night isn't quite the same as living together. Are the Palins denying something Levi didn't say? Now, why would they do that?

18. Because it's good enough to fool the RWingers
Also, the spokesperson is using a classic non-answer ("Do you really believe...") to avoid just saying it didn't happen. However, they know that their fans and defenders will hear what they want to hear, and will repackage these claims in a more assertive way...

I usually spot those things, but I had to re-read it to get it this time. Getting old is hell.

13. We are looking at two scenarios here
He didn't lose his North Slope job til the first week of January and workers live there while they work. So with this in mind, how is it that he moved in prior to the reported birth date?? Is the birth date really Dec 27 or 28th or is it what some thought it was going to be---mid January with a public showing of the baby in February. (Which we got on the GVS show). Keep in mind that a mid Jan birth increased the odds that she could have had Trigg. So they really really needed to put out that Dec birth date and have it believed.

16. what we are being treated to now is the true depth to failin's intellect.
she feels the need to counter the a statement made by an 18 year old who has a felon for a mom, knocked up her daughter and some other relative charged with robbery.

sarah has the mind, spirit and verbal skills of a c student 8th grader.

she was never taught to rise above and as a result loves and seems to enjoy swimming in back biting, tattle tailing, low sport slime.

she is truly the train wreck that keeps on giving.

22. "Allowed it"... ahahhahaahaa
Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 11:35 AM by SoCalDem
Gov Mommy dumped her kids regularly on family members..

The oldest boy was a hell-raiser, and was sent to Michigan (didn;t complete school there either)..and then farmed off to the military..

bristol had an EIGHT-MONTH "time-out" from school, and did not graduate..(2 babies in 16 months)..

A governor COULD afford a tutor..or private school.. those kids did not graduate school because she allowed them to quit..

Her kids are PROPS..

She's spent a lifetime being the cute, sassy "chick", and kids are just politcal props for her.. She drags Piper around with her because little Piper's still "cute" and child-like..but once she ages a bit, she;'ll be shuttled off to family & friends, for raising too.. or the other kids will raise her..
