Beck: Daily Kos, C&L blame me for cop killer
Edited on Mon Apr-06-09 05:59 PM by RamboLiberal
Because it’s all about him, right?

How self-absorbed can one man possibly be?

(This video is from Beck’s April 6, 2009 broadcast. The still image is of Beck holding a doll he says represents President Obama.)

I'm glad the Pittsburgh SWAT showed restraint and took the killer in to custody. I hope in the coming weeks reporters dig deep in to what motivated this killer. What cable channels did he watch. I hope he's a Beck fan!

Idiot Beck predicts civil unrest is coming - and he doesn't see his fuckin' connection to formenting it!

2. Actually it's about time someone did!
The Corporate Media sure won't criticize another "network" and point out the obvious. Fox is spouting hate speech and provoking borderline psychos like this guy. It's treason and they should be prosecuted.

5. I would like to see a civil case made against him
and others for inciting people to violence by feeding them propaganda and false information to fuel their fears. Free speech isn't free, you still can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater just because you want to.

6. Yep - The killer was a fan of Glenn Beck's
Poplawski bought into the SHTF/TEOTWAKI conspiracy theories hook, line and sinker, even posting a link to Stormfront of a YouTube video featuring talk show host Glenn Beck talking about FEMA camps with Congressman Ron Paul. When the city of Pittsburgh got a Homeland Security grant to add surveillance cameras to protect downtown bridges, Poplawski told Stormfronters that it was "ramping up the police state." He said, too, that he gave warnings to grocery store customers he encountered (but only if they were white) to stock up on canned goods and other long-lasting foods.

7. Glenn Beck is ALWAYS screaming that the sky is falling - and some people like this WILL believe him
The same way some idiots actually believed Oral Roberts back in the day when he said "God" had given him a $50,000 challenge and if his viewers didn't donate that much during the challenge something horrible was going to happen. Or somthing like that. Sigh.. People do indeed need to be warned about the danger of hate and fear speech spread by Beck, O'Riley, Limbaugh, Hannity, and all the other right-wing hate-filled talking heads.
