A "hand of God" in space that's only 17,000 years old?



In a new image from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, high-energy X-rays emanating from the nebula around PSR B1509-58 have been colored blue to reveal a structure resembling a hand reaching for some eternal red cosmic light.

11. A hand?

If that's a hand, it seems to only have three fingers. A quick survey of all easily available hands shows that two out of two hands (mine) have four fingers (and a thumb). Plus, there is that big old knob half way down the wrist, I don't got one of them either.
