Newt brings the stupid
Newt: U.S. at greater risk under Obama

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0409/20943.html

The U.S. is at greater risk of terrorist attack because of the Obama administration's actions, Newt Gingrich said Monday.

In a chat with POLITICO readers, Gingrich also called the administration’s response to the North Korean missile launch a “vivid demonstration of weakness in foreign policy.” He said Obama’s proposals for a resumption of nuclear arms limitation talks reflected “a dangerous fantasy that runs an enormous risk. ... Not since Jimmy Carter have we had an administration this out of touch with reality.”
Not since January Newt???

“Dick Cheney is clearly right in saying that between the court decisions about terrorists and the administration actions, the United States is running greater risks of getting attacked than we were under President Bush,” said the former speaker of the House and Georgia congressman.
What like when we WERE attacked???

He said Obama’s speech on nuclear disarmament in Prague on Sunday “is a dangerous fantasy that runs an enormous risk. It is part of the Obama administration’s substitution of words for thoughts and fantasies for achievements.”
Now you are probably thinking what I was, the very last thing someone would do after such a vapid statement is to drive head first into trivial and childish semantics...... serve it up Newt

“Now we no longer have a ‘global war on terror,'” Gingrich said. “We have ‘overseas contingency operations’ Now we will no longer have ‘terrorist attacks.’ We will have ‘man-made disasters.’ None of our enemies seem to have learned this new language."

--------------------
and then there are the feelings of the mechanized missile defense system to worry about
“Reagan felt that keeping a defensive shield alive was more important than a paper deal. The Obama administration is rapidly undermining our missile defense system while describing a fantasy world of trust and cooperation.”

1. Consider Whose He's Really Talking To...Dialing For Dollars
Gnewt has always been the con man...on the hustle and playing to a small room by making big noise. Doesn't seem that long ago he was bellowing his belicose bullshit to an empty gallery on the House floor...the media ignored him, but he became a cult hero via C-SPAN. While many called him a crackpot, the contributions began to flow and he got a lot of speaking gigs and soon was holding the Speakers gavel. The con fell apart because he ran into other sharks, like DeLay, who played his con larger and dirtier.

Now that DeLay, boooosh and many of the other sharks have been cleared out of his tank, Gnewt's back to attempt a second act. His "exile" from the leadership over the past 8 years inoculates him from any direct blame for the negatives of the booosh regime and he sees the leadership void. It's too big a fish not to go after.

Ya know that in his fantasies, there's Gnewtie doin' his latest PWT on the Oval Office carpet.

4. That is a great analysis KT
Delay and the K Street crowd actually achieved total control or as close as anyone is ever going to get while Newt sat quietly in the corner with a coloring book.

Great point about him on C-Span

3. Reagan also made a speech on the fantasy of nuclear disarmament
Newt is looking for attention, and his yammering injures any attempt to create a rational alternative to the Democratic Party, and we very much need a rational alternative to the Democratic Party.
