Franken picks up votes in the ballot count in court
They counted the 351 ballots, Franken had 198 of them, and coleman had about 100 (not sure of the exact number), and about 40 "other" votes. Go away Norm.

2. Time of death for the Coleman campaign...
...well technically several months ago, I guess.

This has gone from ridiculous to pathetic. It's all an attempt by the national Republican party to keep that 59th Dem out of the Senate for as long as possible. It's so transparent.

It's time for Reid to call for Franken to be seated.

6. Agreed, the MN SOS has indicated that he will sign the certification after
the MN Supreme Court hears the case. The Governor has not indicated if he will wait for the federal courts or sign after the State courts have done.

8. Time for Colemanure to concede....
...long past time.

The state deserves the alloted number of Senators per the U.S. Const.

11. On WHAT Grounds are they Appealing?? With all votes counted now, what's left to appeal?
Edited on Tue Apr-07-09 12:31 PM by Blaze Diem
Stalling for time is one thing and clearly the ONLY reason left.
What's left for the MN Supreme Crt to review?
Hope they toss it out as fast as they receive it.
MN Gop & Coleman have made a national joke of the MN election system.

13. Idiots. The more they count the bigger the margin for AL.
Of course, it's all just a stalling tactic.

15. Republicans are such dumbfucks. I guess irony must be ommitted from their dictionaries.
I didn't think multiple appeals were possible. But then I'm no lawyer.

14. So then it's really over? :)
Now I am finally starting to come out of my dreadful feeling. Happy day.

Thanks for posting this. I needed it. 8 years is not fading quickly enough.

I doubt federal courts will, or can, get involved in this state matter. And I seriously doubt the state supreme court will take it. And if they do...

Franken wins.

17. This count is over, and Al picked up votes
But Normie is still appealing to the MN Supreme Court, and it is still to be determined if they will appeal further. I guess it depends, they won't if they are ahead (not going to happen) and they will if they are behind.
