Poll question: Now what gay marriage is legal, how is it affecting your daily heterosexual life?
Edited on Tue Apr-07-09 01:58 PM by CoffeeCat
Before gay marriage was legalized in the state of Iowa, the Fundies, the 'chicken littles' and the Family Research
Council members warned us. Oh boy, did they warn us.

Oh no! Don't make it legal for gay people to be married! Marriage will be destroyed and mayhem will result as lives would be
ruined and innocent children robbed of a stable society.

Gay marriage has been legal in Iowa for a few days. So, I'm just wondering if the dire predictions, fired from the mouths
of these reactionaries--have come true.

Please let us know. The American Family is at stake here.

3. It must have been "The Gays" tha caused this Focus on Family guy to try and have sex with a 15yo

Police: Focus on the Family Bible narrator tried to lure teen for sex

A Colorado man who works for Evangelical group Focus on the Family has been arrested after he solicited sex online from an investigator posing as a teenage girl, police have said.

"Juan Alberto Ovalle, 42, thought he was corresponding with a girl under the age of 15, but instead it was undercover officers with the Jefferson County district attorney's office, according to court documents," reported the Denver Post.

"...Ovalle was arrested on April 3rd when he drove to an undisclosed location in Lakewood to meet the person he believed to be a teen for sexual purposes," reported Colorado's News Channel 13.

"Between April 2 and April 3 Ovalle is alleged to have made sexually graphic statements in a chat room to a person he believed to be an underage teen, police report," the channel continued. "According to court documents Ovalles also told the teen about the sexual things that he wanted to do to her and ultimately drove from Colorado Springs on April 3 to meet her with the intention of having sexual contact."

I mean this is a religious guy so I'm guessing it would have to be something as serious as "The Gays" marrying that would cause him to try and diddle an underage girl.

:grr:

for his birthday he's 70. He was a male stripper back when they still referred to SF - The Barbary Coast, but he liked the cards allot like really allot, in fact some other older gay boys were jealous and now they want hubby to design theirs too so no change here

20. Living in Connecticut, I am mad that we don't have that special "cachet" any more.
I must say that I enjoyed living in one of the first states -- and the state with the strongest court decision to legalize gay marriage -- as a kind of "status symbol." It helped CT get it's reputation back after you know who was re-elected to the Senate. Now even midwesterners are doing it! This is terrible!

sniff...we're no longer "special"...bwaaahhh!

As a former G.M. for a small chain of alteration shops, I tell you, this could be a real help to Main Street!

I never saw the point of denying gays the right of marriage. But we could really use the economic impact to get the point across to the pinheads of hate.

53. Why bother being married anymore?
It's like fashion: Once everybody's doing it, it's not worth doing anymore.

So now that gays are getting married, we're getting divorced.

Stinky will probably marry a box turtle, and I'll just sulk the rest of my life, alone and unfashionable.

Thanks A LOT, gay people. :(
