Not too much seems to have been made of President Obama's Visit to Iraq here on DU
I just watched the video on M$NoBodyCares, and it stunned me how warmly not only the Military greeted OUR President (although I am still mad at him over the treatment of GM) but that he would take the time to meet with the troops.

Take a look, it's stunning.

A real President, not a fucking plastic dress-up pretend cowboy.

2. It made me well up I was so happy to see the joy on their faces
These are mostly KIDS, and for the President to give them one second in their dangerous lives was thrilling. And he just didn't seem to want to stop.

15. As a veteran, I call bullshit. You speak for you. That's it.
He's a man now and can speak for himself. He didn't volunteer to serve to have his mommy put words in his mouth.

8. I am saving links to watch...
after work, yours included. Some of us still working have a hard time hiding these pic heavy threads on the President's visit to Iraq, so we can't comment on them too much, LOL.

17. Tears were streaming down my face
to see the real love and affection from them to the President.

I wonder if it will ever come out how they felt about our Turkey President.
