Can anyone point to one iota of "proof" that the left plans on disrupting
Edited on Wed Apr-08-09 01:06 PM by sufrommich
the right wing "tea parties", other than Neil Cavuto says they are? I think they know the Sarah Palin mouth breathers will be as embarrassing to them as they have in the past and plan on labeling them as phony "disrupters" when they start behaving like the morons they are. I've googled for any hint that there is any real movement to disrupt their little parties and can find none that don't come from right wing sources. So who are these "disrupters"?

I meant to add: Who is paying for these robocalls coming from this so called "grassroots" movement?

Figments of their fevered imaginations.

meetup of the Teaparty movement.

25. I did see that, but citizen journalists are not disrupters. I can
understand why the right wing would rather their events not be filmed, it never works out very well for them and exposes their ignorance. I think that is their real fear.

27. That's just fueling the fire, so to speak.
It's a dumb idea. HuffPost probably thinks it will increase readership, but wow, what a moronic idea.

6. Get Familiar With The Term "Plausible Deniability"
These "tea parties" are going over like led balloons...nothing more than a PR stunt that gets little to no notice outside of the Faux noise world. That's the problem. They want more publicity, they want attention and need to create a buzz to get it. Like many of us who marched in demonstrations that we knew were being censored or downplayed by the corporate media, these "tea parties" are getting a similar treatment. Unlike many of us who knew that the media was against us, but the people were moving to our side, the wingnuts pulling this shit see that they can't get any traction on the issues or their positions, thus they need to create distractions and excuses.

Thus, if people don't show up at their silly little parties, they have their excuse. It's surely either the media or "leftie aggitators" or asteroids that are keeping the crowds at their little rallies small...it gets embarassing when there are more media at a rally than real protestors...or that there are more porta potties there, too.

19. The local Tea Party was mentioned on the local News this morning...
and the anchor mentioned that they would be "sending notice to Washington" about "out of control government spending". It was just a 1 minute "news item" but it was mentioned.

7. This is the oldest trick in book. Play the victim, get sympathy therefore
hopefully increase your crowd size.

If there is confrontation the crowd will grow bigger.

They want big crowd for Fox Cameras.

13. That's the whole deal with the "War on Christmas"
and the alleged persecution of Christians. Gotta fire up the base and they can't do it with their vapid ideology and failed programs of the past. Somehow us against them works best. Onward Christian soldiers.

12. Freepers are planning on doing it themselves:
If it were me I would just get a couple of my buddies together and start a fight amongst ourselves. One side play acting the peaceful leftist/sarc/ and the other side playing the right wing gun loving extremists. Have the righties start a fight and beat the hell out of the leftists and you have a clip for tv. Remember News makes front page, corrections make the back page.

identity of these "actors" playing their little media game. I would love some good research that would catch these assholes red handed trying to create news.

22. It's not worth it.
The whole thing is a waste of money and time. Our local right wing talk show host--or one of them--promoted this thing on his show a few weeks ago. He had an organizer with him on the show. When asked why the protest was taking place at a restaurant (that happens to be right near the university) instead of a public park, the organizer said that she preferred private property and that she liked the visibility factor. She looked forward to seeing the "tea party" stretch out for MILES on Central Avenue. Of course this makes no sense, since the private property doesn't stretch out for miles, but what the hey...My guess is that she didn't want to get a permit.

14. It's clearly a fabricated story to cover the crazies and their misconduct.
They know some of their people are nuts, so they want to put out a cover story to use when one of them misbehaves.

18. As for who is funding it, I don't know, but it appears as if the
right wants to hang onto its base. Local right-wing talk show hosts are chatting it up, Faux News is harping on it, robocalls, etc. Somebody is funding it. The people participating believe that it's some kind of grassroots movement and follow along.

20. Friends, Romans, Countrymen, and fellow Teabaggers . . .

We shall overcome, er, I mean, we intend to teabag the enemy into submission.

Someday, our very own holiday will be as important as July 4th, think Mardi Gras, but we'll be swinging and flinging our teabags instead of beads.

We're going to change the world, you and me. Teabagging will even replace football in our highschools, networks, and ESPN as the New American Sport

28. We'd be far too easy to spot,
laughing hysterically at all the unintentional humor among people who never bothered to check what "teabagging" means.

This is just more right wing paranoia. I'm glad to see it. Party purges as they search for imaginary enemies always destroy them. The search for party purity always marginalizes them.

I've been waiting my whole life to see them self destruct.

29. It is a pre-emtive attempt to blame violence and rioting on us
The 'tea parties' are made up of a handful of aggressive anti-gov wingnuts and funded by international corporations who treat the members as useful idiots. It is only a matter of time before one of the useful idiots does something violent, so make sure the blame goes to infiltrating left wingers and not to the wingnuts or the corporations funding these events.
