Electricity Grid in U.S. Penetrated By Spies
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123914805204099085.html

By SIOBHAN GORMAN

WASHINGTON -- Cyberspies have penetrated the U.S. electrical grid and left behind software programs that could be used to disrupt the system, according to current and former national-security officials.

The spies came from China, Russia and other countries, these officials said, and were believed to be on a mission to navigate the U.S. electrical system and its controls. The intruders haven't sought to damage the power grid or other key infrastructure, but officials warned they could try during a crisis or war.

1. They penetrated the telecoms and IT industries a decade ago.

As a result, the NSA/DHS/CIA surveillance systems are deeply compromised by these and a half-dozen other foreign powers. That in itself should be a reason to call a halt to mass, warrantless surveillance within the U.S. One would think. B-):think:B-)

6. You did not read between the lines...
Translation: when the shadow government cuts the power grid, they can point to the
"spies" they had warned us of.

Government has earned somewhere between zero and minus zero credibility with me, you may have noticed.

5. It actually just supports what Gates said a few days ago. This is why he wants
to put more money into this instead of outdated jet fighters
