Civil Rights is like a Fruit Cobbler
It takes the right vessel, for starters, one that can get filled up and take the heat.

The support could be many things: dough, crumbs, cake, bread, corn or other meal, graham crackers, diverse options exist for the substrate.

The Fruit: can be One, can be Many. Organic, conventional, one or both. Sweet, tart, tangy, hard, soft, juicy, ripe or not quite; red, purple, white, brown, blue, green, mottled, lemony, sliced, squished or mashed.

Topping is optional but not really. The crumbly bits can be many things or just a few -- but that last touch on top really makes it.

Bake on high heat for 80-100 years.

Remove lid and serve with milk and honey and if needed, gas masks.

The support of the hard pan, cushioned with huggy dough, filled with the fruits and salt of the earth, all together in layers and sprinkled with the slings and arrows of fate and dustings of storms of war and weariness and bits of buttered up camaraderie and sugar coated history peppered with crumbs of human kindness, all baked into one giant casserole of commonality, is enough to serve all, with something for everyone.
