Regarding Rushbo smack-down: If you haven't seen the clip - watch it first.

Observations - notice the face rubbing, and the thumb twitching by Rushbo while the caller is talking. Rushbo's body language indicates he seems to be in a quandry/disturbed by the caller, perhaps pissed that this caller got through.

rushbo's response:

-- he accuses the caller of being brainwashed

-- he says Obama is president because of stupid ignorant people

-- then he berates the caller as "being no kind of republican" - the kind that "our last candidate" attracted...

so according to rushbo - if you voted for Obama or McCain you are stupid, ignorant, brainwashed and not a "real republican".

2008 election results: Obama 53% of vote, McCain 46% of vote. Does that mean the remaining 1% are the only true Repubs? probably less than 1% if you factor in political leanings of the 3rd party candidates.

For the sake of argument - assume 1% voted according to the dictates of rushbo, in that perspective - rushbo and his ditto heads didn't impact the election at all.
