I just got tea-bagged over the phone for the second time today.
This is pissing me off because I know the only phone list I'm on is the Colorado Democratic Party. How did they get my number? Neither caller said who they represented (which I believe is against the law) so I can't file complaints.

Anyone else getting these calls? The second one was extremely nasty.

11. $4.95 for the first minute...
$2.95 for every minute after that and you have to have a valid credit card. Oh wait, he's talking about when they call you, not when you call them. Never mind. :P

8. "Do you hate what Obama is doing to our country? Then come tea bag with us this weekend."
Spoken in full Freeper-speak. That kind of crap.

I think the second call wasn't a recording, so I started saying "Go teabag yourself idiot" and the call ended.

14. It's a robo-call or a live person?
This is new - where do you live?

20. Denver, one robo call, the other I ~think~ was live.
At least when I tried talking back the call ended in mid sentence.

18. Ask them what organization they're calling for.
If they hang up, file a complaint with the state AG.

If they tell you, fill a complaint with their name on it with the state AG.

Robocalls use sequential dialers, so you don't need to be paranoid about who the Democrats sold your name to.

In the meantime, call the phone company and complain to them, too, about multiple robocalls. It would help considerably if you have caller ID.

Ma Bell often takes telephone harassment very seriously.

If they call me, they're going to learn a whole lot more about being teabagged (metaphorically speaking) than they ever want to.

6. Not good. What can we do but make lemon tea out of....tea bags?
I guess we just need to say, don't worry be happy. And it's really true now that Obama is in Washington instead of "moran" bush. Life is better, don't let them get to you--that's what they want. (Hey, it's better than reality TV

12. they've called my office a few times
When my boss found out who it was, he put them through to my extension so he could stand outside my door and listen to me rip them a new ass. I just asked the last one point blank, "where the fuck were you people when GW Bush was looting raping and pillaging the treasury for ungodly amounts and throwing it at a war based on lies he made u?!! Huh, where the fuck were you then, I didn't hear a goddamned word about that!!!

For some reason, they've stopped calling, I don't know why...

13. Maybe what we need
is to have a large number of people show up looking for a real tea party, saying things like "I'll have some Earl Gray" or "do you have any herbal tea"? It would be funny if they outnumbered the freepers.

17. Lots and lots of elderly people.
Bring them from far and wide to order tea and sandwiches. And ask, "Where do we pay for our tea?"

16. Let me guess. They can't get enough actual wingnuts to show up-- so they figure
maybe they can bring out some pissed off liberals, make the scene look bigger for the cameras, and act like they're the brave warriors whom the liberal establishment is trying to "shut down".

I just think this whole 'tea bag' bullshit is going over like a lead fuckin' balloon. Between this, Bobby Jindal and Joe the Fuckin' Plumber, it's almost like they're TRYING to be clueless and out of touch.

I think it's hilarious that they chose the term 'tea-bag.' That gives me laughing material for weeks.
