A reminder for the wingnuts as tornado season is here

When the media reports from the aftermath of a rural tornado they are not trying to make the people look bad. They did not pass on interviewing doctors, attorneys and other educated people to get the guy with five teeth in a tank top on the television. The guy with five teeth, the tank top and limited English skills is the most presentable of the fifteen or so people who ran up to the television crew screaming "I seent it! Put me on da TeeVee! Put me on da TeeVee!"

2. No, there are dumb people in all geographic sections of the country

I'm just saying it's not the evil media picking the stupidest person to interview. They probably chose the best of the ones begging to be on television.

3. Some people they interview who were really in the tornado and had things destroyed are in shock

4. Poor people who have just lost everything are *jackasses,* aren't they?

Seriously, that's the overriding message I take away from news footage of tornado-caused destruction in a rural area.
