Karl Rove to Speak in Granville, Ohio on April 16th at Denison University
It is hard to understand young people paying Karl Rove to speak but it is happening here in the Village of Granville. It appears that the Young Republicans are paying him for his trouble. Admission is free but come early because if it is anything like when Miss Coulter performed, people were bussed in to fill the seats. The oinking starts at 8:00 PM but if you are interested in expressing your feelings with a sign on the street corner PM me and I will get you the information. To date I have not heard if there will be any action up the hill. It is such a disgrace to think of him here so near my family and those that I love. Wish us well.

1. They bussed people in?
I thought they only had to do that for *.

Doesn't speak well for a party that still has these delusions of grandeur.

6. I didn't understand it either.
Locals who tried to attend were turned away due to a full house. I just wonder about people who would want to attend such a thing. I know that my brain would not stand up to even 10 minutes of Annie or KKKarl!

5. Why anyone would
pay money to see Rove when you can hear him blather away on Faux Noise for free is beyond me.

Do something worthwhile with the money and donate it to a homeless shelter. Don't line Rove's already overstuffed pockets.

8. It is sad to see that money is spent on this filth.
It is surreal that this person has refused to address Congress when summoned, but is free to line his pockets out in the world. Where is the justice?

4. And after that
He'll be appearing at two Universities in Texas - WTAMU and Texas Tech. The WTAMU appearance is being paid for by the University's Alumni Association and the Tech appearance is courtesy of the Tech School of Law.

The ironic part? Two area news stations visited the WT campus and each reporter asked about 20 students what they felt about Rove's impending speech. 19 out of 20 had never heard of him.

7. We had him in Iowa City about a year ago
Edited on Fri Apr-10-09 02:05 PM by rurallib
I remember he had a rough time. Can't remember just what happened. I believe someone tried to make a citizen's arrst at a coffee shop. Then I think they had him leave town early. I was part of a group that stood with their backs to him before being 'escorted' out by the gendarmes.

10. We can only dream!!
Granville is a village of 4500 people. We have a peace vigil twice a week, Tuesday and Saturday. The feelings on our peace line are varied. Some say that the best way to deal with this is to ignore him while others feel the need to speak out. It will be interesting, I am sure.

9. Why the hell isn't that SOB in jail yet?

He makes a mockery of the justice system and the electoral process just by appearing in public.
