Spotted this while in the checkout line in my local Meijer superstore this morning.

I'm guessing this isn't a big seller in Canada, Cuba, England, France, Germany, ...

be in charge. No reform --just more of the same.

5. You don't have to pay it all BTW, and it wont affect credit if done properly

They write off medical bills as losses to get tax breaks. Hospitals may even overcharge those who cannot pay, with the intention of simply lowering their taxes in the end. Ive turned $1300 bill into $400 (handed to collection) that I happily paid. Just an FYI.

Pretend to be poor as dirt, if you aren't. Most hospitals will gladly comply. I had a family member do a stint working in the medical industry who raved about this, not comprehending it. This was the first I heard of it, but sure enough, when I put it to practice, it worked.

No dear, they don't. We are fortunate that the Peace Health group is the most generous health care system I've ever seen. The vast majority don't do anywhere near what they do.

And $1300 or $400, what's the difference. If you don't have enough to pay monthly payments on the one, you're not going to have it on the other. And once something is in collection, you're credit is damaged.

FYI.

6. Dang. There went another Irony Meter.
I didn't budget as much for replacements this year, either. Gonna have to do a budget revision, I guess.

grumpily,

7. Oh it could have been a little more ironic, if,
it was on sale in a hospital gift store.
