3. Defense spending

Since they could cut defense by 50% and still be spending what the rest of the world is, the answer is yes. It's time for us to learn that our place in the world is not to police everyone. We have 50,000 troops in Germany for crying out loud. Bring them all home. By the way I'm a retired member of LU# 5, in Pittsburgh. I have a comfortable, if not extravagant pension and will tout our union at every chance. I still can't figure out why the obvious benefits of union are not a universal truth for everyone.
