Kind of a sad commentary on the world we live in.
There is a new restaurant opening in the city I live in and over 300 people showed up to apply for 18 jobs. 18 minimum wage jobs. A lot of people who applied have had good paying jobs that are now gone. Thanks to bush and the neocons who ruined things, this new restaurant should be able to hire some very good help. But they should be able to have some of the applicants come in and enjoy a meal. Of course, since the people lost their jobs, they likely won't be able to. I still hate what bush and his friends did to this country. www.qctimes and click on the link "Hundreds compete for jobs at Davenport restaurant".

1. The USA is becoming ANOTHER COUNTRY of low wage and minimum wage jobs.
While I agree with you on the rethug participation in destroying our country, there are also plenty of democrats that have aided and abetted in these crimes against Americans. Remember, it takes at least two political parties to screw things up this much.

2. An accelerating race to the bottom.
But then again, we could emulate the French, and make a job as a waiter/waitress a way to earn living wages.
