Freeps (well some of them) are openly admitting they're disappoiinted
that everything turned out well. Others are busy insisting that the Navy went against what Obama wanted in order to rescue Captain Phillips. Batshit crazy as alsways. Hey, freeps, wanna bet that Obama's approval rating go up due to the successful rescue?

They are absolutely obsessed with their hatred of Obama. It's all that matters.
I, too, wandered over there. They need to take a breather from their talk radio/Fox News echo chamber. It's breathtaking that all they can talk about in their threads about this rescue is their hatred of Obama.

Rush and his ilk have truly taken over their pathetic minds. Scary.

6. Their disappointment seems to be that one of the pirates lived
Edited on Sun Apr-12-09 01:39 PM by Downtown Hound
But none of them are willing to give Obama any credit, even though he's the one that sent the Navy there and likely approved the rescue mission. If Bush had been in charge while this had happened, they would have poured holy water on his picture by now and given themselves sexual gratification over it.

8. nah, there are also quite a few comments about how they're
"a little disappointed".

And then there's this crazy shit:

To: al baby
It now appears a Navy Officer ignored Obama’s orders to negotiate and took matters into his own hands. Want to bet the Navy Officer gets demoted by Obama?

It will be a long tine until we know what happened - that is a good thing. Keep the pirates guessing!

11. "Obama's approval ratings" ... Well, just as Bush's rating found a floor ...
... Obama's has a ceiling. There's 20-30% of the country that are either bat-s**t crazy or irreparably brainwashed, so Obama's approval rating doesn't have much room to grow. Isn't he already in the mid-60s?

12. Almost all of the responses seem to simply be glad of the rescue success.
... but I *loved* the delusion associated with this response:
"Now we have a bargaining chip we can use to free other hostages."

Yeah, their fellow pirates are *sure* to be concerned about the health of one of their fellow pirates, and would gladly surrender a hostage (worth tens of thousands in potential ransom) to return him to their fold.
