Happy New Years to all my Theravadin Buddhist Friends
Seen some notices of Easter but wanted to give a shout out to all the Buddhist that are celebrating new years too!

Buddhist New Year

The Buddhist New Year is celebrated on different days throughout the world. In Theravadin countries (Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Laos), the new year is celebrated for three days from the first full moon day in April. In Mahayana countries, the new year usually starts on the first full moon day in January, and Tibetan Buddhists generally celebrate it in March

6. I didn't make it either
I was going to go to a celebration here with my friend however she has a son that celebrates easter so we ended up not going. I did take my own time to celebrate on some level but wish I could have spent the whole day with some Monks:)

5. Thank you.
I am more aligned with Theravada Buddhist philosophy than with any other, according to my test results at beliefnet.

Accordingly, blessings to all.

:hi:
