You know, Spain was once ruled by a fascist, too
And look what they've gone and done: (Thank you, Tangerine LaBamba)

Spain beat the United States to the punch in seeking indictments for Bush administration officials in relation to torture and human rights abuses. I think it's time for Obama's administration to stop with the kum-ba-yah and step up to their responsibilities.

3. Agreed
If we let the Bush administration go unpunished, a more virulent strain of their ideology will one day wind up in power once again - and our nation barely survived the last time around.

2. I seriously don't think Obama is going to want to open that
can of worms epecially if the torture and human rights abuses continue under HIS watch. It would kind of make him a hypocrite.

6. In that case, he may have no choice
Removing a planar wart may be unpleasant, but really, what's the alternative?

8. It's not about "him:" i.e. "Bush," or "Obama," it's about long standing institutional collusion
Lone individuals aren't presented/offered by the system in order to sabotage itself - just the opposite: those whose lives have been tailored for the role are "electable" for VERY specific reasons...they're more than willing to abide the ways of empire.
