Homeland Security Report Warns Of Rising Right-Wing Extremism

If you think the conservative "Tea Party" movement is daunting then take a look at a new report issued by the Department of Homeland Security that says right-wing extremism is on the rise throughout the country.

Reuters sums up some of the information in the report... scroll to the bottom of the entry to read the entire report:

DHS had no specific information about pending violence and said threats had so far been "largely rhetorical."

But it warned that home foreclosures, unemployment and other consequences of the economic recession "could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists"...

I think the report is on the mark, particularly with right wing media types using incendiar rhetoric like treason, as well as images of setting people on fire. In this thread, I noted before the release of the report that there are some eerie similarities between recent shootings, and the background of Timothy McVeigh.
